anytime a guy says “that’s what she said” always reply with “not to you”

Anonymous asked: how does parker victimize women? I don't really know much about the band members I only like the music I'm sorry
I really like the music but the lyrics Parker writes are all about demonizing women for their own personal choices. Like, every song is about slut-shaming and trying to make girls feel bad about what they wear or if they have sex. Musically TSSF really knows how to make a unique record, but content-wise it’s the same old bullshit about how girls don’t do what he wants them to and apparently that makes them all dumb sluts. Like hey Parker get the fuck over it, maybe she doesn’t like you because you make her feel like shit for being her own person??? When he was asked about it in an interview with punknews.org, he replied, “I don’t give a fuck about what people say about my writing. I know what I’ve written and try to portray it as well as I can. If some people don’t like it, then some people don’t like it. You don’t have to listen, it’s all good. Everyone’s a critic.” What a fucking pathetic response, as if slut-shaming is the same as anything else a critic would point out about their music.
He’s also made really shitty comments about girls on his twitter, even going so far as to target his own female fans. Judging by the comments he makes, he clearly thinks all women are the same, desperate, attention-seeking whores. He’s made comments that there are no real female pop-punk fans, they just go to shows to impress dudes. What the fuck, right?
And let’s not forget that TSSF is so ready to toss ladies into the dirt and make them out to be garbage, but multiple t-shirt designs involve naked women with the band’s name in tiny print. It’s so obvious how the band views women. To them, we’re just bodies to be exploited, to fuck, and to tease. But as soon as we have something to say about it, we’re “sluts” and “over-sensitive bitches.” That’s not okay.
Like I said, liking their music is one thing, I listen to Under Soil and Dirt in my car all the time, but you also have to recognize the shitty attitude they have towards women.
